Military actions

Military action is the only way to victory. In order to go to battle you need soldiers and generals. Soldiers will only attack when led by a general. To participate in naval battles you need ships and admirals.
Capturing the whole territory of a country means its destruction and it is removed from the map and the game.
In order to attack a country, you need to recruit soldiers, highlight a country, give a general the order to «Attack» and assign him soldiers. If you are victorious, you will get some part of your enemy’s territory, which is non-linearly proportionate to the number of soldiers surviving the battle as well as the speed of your General.
It could well be that the country that you are attacking has itself gone war on you. In this case, there are going to be two battles, one on the border and the other on the territory of the country, which loses the first fight. If you are initially victorious, you might encounter another army at the second point, with a fresh general, so beware!
However, if there are no defenders, you will just get a part of enemy territory.
You can also defend your country by giving a general the «Defend» order, if you do so, remember to leave some soldiers in border guard.
If you have soldiers, but none of your generals has the «Defend» order, nobody is going to lead soldiers into battle and you lose a part of territory.
All battles go in order determined by the «Speed» of generals. It can well may be that your general who has been ordered to attack will be made idle because another, speedier general, attacking the same country, will “steal” the common border.
Alternatively, speedier generals of your opponents may attack your country and take all your territory before your general makes a move and you will then lose.
You can only attack your immediate neighbors in the game.
